Karsten performs an original piece which Jay sets to Choreography.
Jay works closely with The Rochester Latino Theatre Company and will be directing their summer production of Welcome to Arroyo's. Recent credits include: Monica Santiago, in W.A.C. Iraq (Winner of Best Actress of the Rochester, NY Fringe Festival 2014). Women On Fire, The Other Woman in Dead Man’s Cell Phone, Director of California Suite, Director of Pink Ribbons, Fabian in Twelfth Night, Assistant Director of Fox on the Fairway, Colette in Defrost, Director of Songs For A New World, Director of The Zoo Story, Carly in Reasons to be Pretty, and Zlata in Necessary Targets. Jay has performed at the Rochester Comedy Club and has participated in numerous slam poetry competitions. She has a B.A. in Theatre from SUNY Brockport. She has trained with Geva Theatre’s Summer Academy and has vocal training from Hochstein School of Music. She studied film theory at Mahidol University in Thailand where she was also the guest choreographer for their dance team. She is a private acting coach for ages 16 and up. Jay would also like you to know that she loves vanilla cupcakes and her favorite instrument is the tenor sax.
